If you were casting a movie for Orbitng Jupiter, who would you cast as the lead characters?
I would get Jake T. Austin to play Jack. I would get Jake T. Austin to play Jack because in my opinion they have the same personality. Jake T. Austin and Jack both seem really understanding. I think Jake T. Austin is understanding because in his role of “Max” in Wizards of Waverly Place he was thinking about others most of the time. An example when this happened was the final episode of Wizards of Waverly Place. He sticked with his brother and sister in the show near the end of the show. Even though he did not win the competition, he was understanding that he could not win everything. Jack was really understanding about Joseph a lot. One example of when Jack was being understanding with Joseph is when the bus driver tried to talk about Joseph’s daughter. Joseph got off the bus and Jack did to. In my opinion Jack did this because he truly cares about Joseph. Another reason why I think that Jake T. Austin should play Jack is because Jack’s mature and Jake has played a mature role before. An example when Jack has been mature is when he found out a little bit about Joseph is in the beginning of the book. He could’ve been really mad or upset, but Joseph stayed calm. One role where Jake T. Austin was mature was when he played ‘Jesus Foster” in the tv series The Fosters His character had a twin sister and they both and got adopted by “Stef” and “Lena”( two of the main characters). In order to play such a role like this, Jake had to be mature. Overall, this is why I think Jake T. Austin should play Jack.
As an audience member to Orbiting Jupiter, how do you think Joseph's character has changed from chapter 1 to chapter 2?
In my opinion Joseph's character has changed from chapter one to chapter two. I think that Joseph's character has changed because he seems more open to a few of the teachers. He was open to answering those math questions that Mr. D"Ulney gave him everyday. Another reason why I think that Joseph is becoming more open from the first chapter to the second chapter is because he was alright having a "race" against the gym teacher, Mr. Swieteck. Joseph was open to "racing him twice even though he did not win the first time. Overall, one of the reasons why I think Joseph has changed from chapter one to chapter two is because he seems more open about school.
Another reason why I think that Joseph has changed from chapter one to chapter two is because he doesn't seem to mind doing chores anymore. One of the chores that I think Joseph does not mind and might enjoy doing is milking Darcy the cow. I think at first Joseph was nervous but now Darcy is the first cow that he goes to milk in the morning and the first one he goes to milk in the afternoon. Another reason why I think Joseph doesn't mind doing his chores anymore is because of what I heard Joseph never complains about doing them. He always goes out with Jack and they each do there own chores and then go back in together. Before he would for the most part have a poor attitude about doing them but know he does not. Overall one of the reasons why I think Joseph has changed from chapter one to chapter two is because he does not seem to mind doing chores anymore.
Overall I think that Joseph has changed from chapter one to chapter two is because he seems more open to school and some of his teachers and because he seems more open to doing chores with Jack.
Do you agree?
I think one of the labels that his new family put on Joseph is quiet. I think his family thought that he was quiet is because he doesn't talk unless he absolutely has to. Joseph has only really talked a couple times and each time he did he has not said to much. I also think that his new family thinks that he is quiet is because he has his head down a lot of the time. For example, one day at the supper table, Jack was telling his parents that they are not taking the bus anymore. Joseph was just sitting there listening and not giving his input.
I think a label that the bus driver gave Joseph is sensitive. I think his bus driver gave Joseph the label of sensitive is because the driver mentioned that he was the father of a three month old and Joseph did not want everybody to know. Joseph could of also not liked that he knew. He might of only wanted his foster family to know.
I think a label that Joseph's teachers put on him is being unfocused. I think that his teachers would think that he is unfocused is because during one of the classes, he was staring down at a picture and not on the class. Then his teacher came up and she wanted the picture but Joseph would not give it to her. He put the picture back in his wallet and looked up at the front of the classroom. I am sure if he didn't get caught he would of continued to look at the picture.
I think a label that Joseph's vice-principal put on him is no good. I think his vice principal thinks that he is no good is because he was late to school on the first day. Since he was late on the first day, I don't think he wants his brother (Jack) to hang out with him. The vice-principal went up to Jack and was talking to him about Joseph.
This info-graphic is about different aspects of being a good digital citizen. The main topic that I focused on for being a good digital citizen is cyber-bullying.
During this assignment about info-graphics, I learned some of the tricks that advertisers use. A few of those techniques are pathos, ethos and logos which appeal to your credibility, your emotions and your logic. I also learned about how to create a successful info-graphic during this assignment. To create a successful info-graphic you need to make sure you have pictures relating to the topic and colours that relate to the topic.
The audience that I was going for was any teenagers that go online. In my opinion I did a good job targeting them . I think this because I applied very little words for people to read. I also think that I did a good job targeting my info-graphic to teenagers because I applied lots of pictures for them to look at. Most teenagers don't like to read a lot if they don't have to. But this way, they mostly just have to look at the pictures.
I chose to put a graph on facts on cyber-bullying because many people may not realize that lots of people get cyber-bullied. Many people don't take action for it either. I put some of the logos of some of the social media accounts because those are some of the social media accounts that people get bullied on.
In my opinion, my info-graphic is effective. In my opinion my info-graphic is effective because I put images that were related to the topic and I put bright/vibrant colours on my info-graphic. People for the most part would stop and look if there is images and bright/vibrant colours. I also think that my info-graphic was successful because I talked about cyber-bullying. Cyber-bullying is such an important issue that happens to the most innocent people. It might help some teenagers or adults that might get affected by cyber-bullying that they are not alone.
In my opinion, my first couple weeks of grade 8 went successful for the most part. I like who I am sitting beside. My favorite subject so far is math. Math is my favorite subject so far because we get the time to work with someone and work by ourselves. I have found gym and math the easiest so far. I find history the most challenging so far. Some activities that I have done in class so far include;
